Full-sheet stipple-engraved plate (20 1/2 x 27 5/8 in. 521 x 703 mm) after Redouté by Lemaire, printed in colors and finished by hand, signed P. J. Redouté pinx ans Lemaire sculp. and numbered 370 et 371, extracted from Redouté's Les Liliacées (Paris, 1802–1816). A very good impression; a few tiny marginal spots. Floated and glazed in a handsome gilt frame.

A fine impression of the only full-sheet plate in Les Liliacées, named in honor of Redouté's patroness, the Empress Josephine. Josephine's March Lily is found in the interior of the Western Cape of South Africa.
