Smith, Edwin Dalton

3 fine original watercolors of two carnations and a ranunculus (each, 9 3/4  x 7 3/4  in.; 248 x 198 mm), extracted from an album, each numbered in ink in the upper right corner.  Floated and glazed in handsome gilt frames. 

The watercolors, all executed for Sweet's The Florist's Guide and Cultivator's Directory, are numbered 31 [Carnation "Ives's Prince Leopold"], 64 [Carnation "Cordon Bleu"], and 81 [Ranunculus "Duke of Clarence"].
