2 engraved plates (Eringium marinum: 20 1/2 x 15 1/2 in.; 521 x 394 mm; Caryophyllus: 22 x 16 1/2 in.; 556 x 419 mm) extracted from Besler's Hortus Eystettensis (Eichstatt and Nuremberg, 1613) with handsome handcoloring; the Eringium slightly trimmed along left and top margins. Floated on linen and glazed in matching gilt frames with ebonized borders decorated with gilt insects; a few nicks to gilt edges.
