SURFACE: in fairly good condition; while there is good pigment retention in general, canvas weave shows through in most of the browns and soft purple areas (most of foreground) UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: a repair at upper right, about 2 by 1 1/4 in. (irregular shape); aside from this, a few scattered dots/dashes in sky, at upper left and lower right
