Unsere goldene Herbstlandschaft von Ernest Biéler zeigt die Gruppe des Grand Muveran mit dem Haut de Cry westlich von Savièse. Biéler fokussierte einen Grossteil seines Oeuvres auf die Darstellung von Menschen und Lebewesen, aber auch auf wunderbare Ansichten der Walliser Bergwelt. Das Eindrücklichste an diesem Landschaftsgemälde ist die Leuchtkraft der Farben und die Leichtigkeit der Pinselführung, mit welcher der Maler diese Szenerie expressionistisch überhöht. Die intensiven Herbstfarben stehen in einem reizvollen Kontrast zu den bereits schneebedeckten Bergen. Dieser spannungsvolle Gegensatz ist an Schönheit kaum zu übertreffen.
