Condition
Inscribed on the reverse on the loom -ritratto del torero detto "Il Moro".
Painting ri-lined.
From a first hand inspection the painting surface looks flattened probably due to the high temperature when ri-lining, there are abrasions, due to a strong cleansing, that let the canvas visible.
The ultra violet light reveals thick fluorescent varnish spread over the surface and some retouches specially over the right cheek and over the background. A restoration (cm 1.5) is visible in the middle of the top edge.
