A soviet porcelain teaset, Mikhail Adamovich, State Porcelain Manufactory, 1923

after a design by the artist, painted by Varvara Freze, comprising a teapot, a covered sugar bowl, a slop bowl, a creamer, twelve cups and saucers, all similarly painted with vari-coloured, stylised flowers and leaves, all with blue manufactory mark, signed in Cyrillic: VFr, po ris Adamovicha, 1923, with inventory number 207/1, the teapot with green Imperial cypher for Alexander II, the rest with cypher for Nicholas II

The teapot has a restored handle and restored chip to the lid. The rest in overall good condition, some wear to the gilding and paintwork consistent with age and use.
