Condition
The canvas has been laid on board. The board is slightly bowed in the centre. There is a layer of light surface dirt. There is some abrasion to the upper edge, lines of craquelure and some evidence of paint shrinkage in the top right corner. There is a scratch approximately 3cm long in the lower right corner across one of the pots and there are some flecks of paint loss in places. UV light reveals sweeping retouching and a layer of uneven varnish, Held in a black and gold painted wood and plaster frame. Unexamined out of frame.
