Condition

Oil on canvas. The surface is slightly dirty and covered with a layer of slightly yellowed varnish. There is minor paint loss around the edges and in each corner. There is horizontal craquelure, very visible to the eye, in the face area. This area should be addressed by a restorer. There are some scuff marks near the bottom area of the painting, near the feet. There is some very minor white staining in the lower portion of the coat and an X shaped scratch above the right shoulder. There is a scratch near the right wrist and very minor staining to other areas of composition. Under UV pigments fluoresce in the face (cheek and chin) signifying restoration to this area. Sold unframed.
