  • the icon delicately painted on metal and highlighted with chrysography, the silver arch-shaped mount decorated with Old Russian Style foliage against a stippled ground, the cover ornamented with cabochon sapphires, the pendant on a hinged, arch-shaped clasp with similar decoration, marked K. Fabergé in Cyrillic with Imperial warrant, 84 standard and with scratched inventory number 32588, with dated dedicatory inscription in Cyrillic reading Save and Protect on the wood back, and with original fitted holly wood case
