Description

  • "Tsar Aleksei Mikhailovich" carved beneath the portrait in Cyrillic vyaz-style script; the underside of the cup with unidentified Slavonic inscription, both in fitted leather-bound cases 
  • Height of cup: 9 1/4 in.; length of ladle 9 in.
  • 23.5 cm; 22.9 cm

Condition

the interior of the ladle with older repairs; the coconut of the cup cracked (consistent with age) and with one loose mount, the cover appears to have once had a finial
