  • marked with Cyrillic initials of workmaster, Fabergé in Cyrillic and 84 standard, also with scratched inventory number 8651. With dedicatory inscription in German across the top of the frame.

rectangular, enameled translucent lavender over a starburst pattern, the oval aperture surrounded by an applied wreath of laurel leaves tied with a bow knot, with sepia enameled portrait of a Naval officer, with gilded silver shaped strut and ivory back

close examination shows that the silver was once gilded; part of the laurel wreath repaired; the strut repaired
