Condition

Oil on lined canvas. The surface is very slightly dirty and covered with a layer of varnish. There is minor paint loss around the edges of the canvas and some very minor craquelure. There are very small pin holes along the right hand edge of the canvas and some minor lines of wear. Under UV some pigments fluoresce. There appear to be retouches to the sky, some of the people, and to parts of the green hills. Varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. The painting is in stable condition. Held in a wood frame. Unexamined out of frame.
