Oil on canvas. The surface is a bit dirty and covered with a layer of varnish. There is very minor paint loss around the edges and in the lower right corner. There is very minor craquelure. There is very nice impasto work throughout the composition. Under UV certain pigments fluoresce in the garden and pathway, but the varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. This would suggest, however, that the painting has been recently cleaned and restored. Held in a gold painted wood frame. Unexamined out of frame.
