  • Height from 4 to 2 1/2 in.
  • 10.2 to 6.4 cm
including a large egg with Sang de boeuf glaze and the Imperial monogram of Empress Maria Feodorovna (restored), a white egg decorated with the Imperial State coat-of-arms and the Cyrillic gilt initials XB for 'Christ is Risen' and the date 1917, an almost entirely gilded egg, the oval reserve painted with a miniature of the Resurrection of Christ and the back engraved with cherubs beneath the Russian Easter greeting 'Christ is Risen', and a small white egg with scrolled, gilded decoration
