Condition
Oil on canvas. The surface is a bit dirty and covered with a layer of slightly yellowed varnish. There is minor paint loss around the edges. There is a minor scratch (about 2 inches) across the tree trunk on the right side of the picture. There is a spot of paint loss below the red leaves of the tree at the center of the painting and a small, very minor white stain in the trunk of the tree in the lower left side of the composition. There are some very minor scratches in the center of the painting. Under UV no pigments fluoresce but varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. From the back, the canvas does appear to have been repaired several times. Held in a silver painted wood frame. Unexamined out of frame.
