Condition
This painting on paperboard is in very fresh and original condition. It has been framed behind glass and should most likely stay this way. The paint layer is clean and varnished and there appear to be no retouches visible. This picture is in very good condition and could be hung as is.

Catalogue Note
In 1929 Dobuzhinksy helped organize and design the first official exhibition of Russian porcelain and ceramics in the West, at the National Museum of Ceramics in Sèvres, France. He designed the exhibition halls in Russian Empire style, rooted in French Neoclassicism.
