Condition
Oil on canvas. Surface is slightly dirty. There are three 1 to 1 1/2 inch stains in the lower left corner. There is minor cracquelure, particularly in the sky and water area. Paint loss (about 1 inch) is visible in the upper left hand corner, and minor paint loss is apparent in the upper right hand corner and center of the picture. There is a 3 1/2 inch scratch in the center of the picture under the white flag and minor nicks to the paint layer. Under UV no retouches are visible. Held in a modern gold gilt wood frame. Unexamined out of frame.
