Provenance
Supplied to William, 3rd Viscount Courtenay, later 9th Earl of Devon (1768-1835) and thence by descent.

Condition
Generally in good condition. The paint appears to be largely original but there are losses throughout consistent with age and use . Worm damage visible and with some consequent losses to carving and detail. One scroll at the top of the back cracked, repaired and re-painted. The upholstery is worn, faded and stained in places.
