Supplied to William, 3rd Viscount Courtenay, later 9th Earl of Devon (1768-1835) and thence by descent.

Condition

Both of these chairs have paint and gilt loss all-over. One chair has a broken and repaired leg. There is some old worm damage. The upholstery is worn and will need to be replaced.
