Très bon état général. Le tirage original un peu moins contrasté que dans l'illustration du cataloge. Avec quelques très légers pliures surtout dans la partie inférieure. Deux minuscules taches de rousseurs dans la partie inférieure gauche et un miniscule tache superficielle (des fibres décoloriées de papier restées sur la surface) dans la partie supérieure droite. Very good general condition. The acytual print is slightly less contrasted that the catalogue reproduction. With two tiny stains of foxing in the lower left quadrant and one superficial stain (remnant of paper fibres that have dicoloured and can easily be removed) in the upper right quadrant.

Ce groupe présente le meilleur de la création photographique d'Atget dans sa documentation sur le Vieux Paris: les faubourgs misérables, les rues, les bistrots, les foires, les cours sinistres, les boutiques, les mannequins et les prostituées.

Un tirage de cette image figura parmi les photographies d'Atget  achetées par Man Ray vers 1926. Man Ray l'illustra dans La Révolution surréaliste No 7, 15 Juin 1926, p. 18.
