Condition

This early Farm Security Administration print is on double-weight paper with a glossy surface. It is in good condition. When viewed in raking light, a number of linear and crescent-shaped handling creases can be seen in the print's glossy surface. One of these, in the upper right corner, breaks the emulsion slightly. The print has a quarter-inch white border. The edges of the print have softened over time, and a small portion of the upper right border corner is missing. The print was once owned by the New York picture agency, Culver Pictures and, consequently, has the look of a much-handled file print. That said, when the print is viewed from a normal distance these condition issues are not immediately apparent and do not detract from its generally good appearance.
