Condition
These photographs, on a slightly textured paper with a surface sheen, are in generally excellent condition. Visible in raking light are a few barely visible surface scratches that do not break the emulsion.
-(MAP) 1870: Two ¼-inch crescent-shaped creases that do not break the emulsion are visible on the figure's right arm and in the right-center area of the image.
-(MAP) 1869: In raking light, a thumbprint is visible along the top edge of the image. On the reverse of the mount, the annotation 'Exhibition Print' has been crossed out.
-(MAP) 1871: A ¼-inch linear deposit of original retouching is visible in the lower portion of the image.
