Condition

This cyanotype, with medium-dark blue coloring, is in generally very good to excellent condition. There are a few faint markings of indeterminate nature visible in the image, as well as There is slight sunning and light soiling on the album leaf mount at the periphery of the image, as well as at the periphery of the mount. There is a tiny loss of paper in the lower left mount corner, and the left mount edge is worn. Faint impressions left by the matting corners are visible in the margin corners of the mount and on the reverse. None of these issues detracts from the fine appearance of this early cyanotype. The reverse the mount is somewhat soiled, and is annotated 'GA/1258.11.' 'Anna Atkins,' and 'AA+110.Y' in an unidentified hand in pencil.
