Condition

Grading this albumen print on a scale of 1 to 10--a 10 being an albumen print with deep brown dark tones and highlights that retain all of their original detail--this print rates a 10. While the print is light overall, this appears to be a function of the original exposure and not due to fading. In the darkest areas of the print the tones are very deep. In high raking light, a number of very faint surface scratches and a number of small deposits of original retouching are visible. The mount is age-darkened and lightly soiled along the edges. There is minor foxing overall. The bottom left corner of the mount is creased.
