Condition
This photograph is on paper with a semi-glossy surface. The print is essentially in excellent condition. When examined very closely in raking light a faint linear scuff can be seen in the lower left quadrant – this does not break the emulsion.
The photograph is mounted to light gray board which has been trimmed to a vertically oblong shape. There is sunning on the mount directly around the periphery of the print, but not affecting the print. There are strips of paper, cello, and linen tape on the reverse of the mount, which also shows some soiling. One of the pieces of cellotape is laid over the 'Merle' portion of Weston's inscription.
