Condition
Both prints are in generally very good condition. In raking light, slight silvering is visible in the dark areas of both prints.
'Rapids Below Vernal Fall, Yosemite Valley': Visible only under close examination is a one-inch scratch in the negative in the white cap of the wave in the lower right quadrant. Visible in raking light is a tiny, barely noticeable indentation approximately one inch above the bottom edge that does not break the emulsion.
'Clouds Above Golden Canyon, Death Valley, California': The print is starting to separate from the mount in the upper left corner. Visible in raking light are the following: a few tiny linear or pinpoint indentations, and a tiny convex indentation, likely a result of the mounting process, neither of which breaks the emulsion
The mounts are in generally good to very good condition. The corners of the mounts are bumped, and the edges are age-darkened, lightly rubbed, and lightly soiled on both the fronts and the backs.
