Condition
This ferrotyped, slightly warm-toned photograph, on double-weight paper, is in generally very good condition. The margin corners are bumped and creased, not affecting the image. The ink of the signature is slightly faded. The tiny pitting in the paper is typical of the ferrotyping process. Visible in raking light are a 1/2-inch sharp crescent-shaped crease in the center of the image (it is difficult to determine whether or not it breaks the emulsion), and a few tiny scuffs and small soft handling creases that do not break the emulsion.
On the reverse, there are small sections on the top and bottom edges where tape or another adhesive has been removed. The print is annotated 'Photographed during a shooting for the French Haute Couture Collection on the 9th of August at 2.45 am in front of NR 4. Rue Aubriot in Paris in the 4th arrondissment. The nude model wears a hat by Paulette, the other model a suit by St. Laurent' by the photographer in ink. The print is also annotated 'x1608/28A' in an unidentified hand in pencil.
