- 'CLIFF CREEK CAÑON'
on Dassonville Charcoal Black paper, signed and titled in the margin, circa 1925, printed circa 1929; accompanied by the original mat, the 'Ansel Easton Adams Parmelian Print' letterpress label numbered '1316' in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse
Condition
This early print, on Dassonville Charcoal black, a warm-toned matte-surface paper that exhibits not only a wide tonal range, but also a high degree of contrast, is in generally excellent condition. The corners are lightly bumped. There are 3 very small shiny deposits of indeterminate nature near the right upper and lower corners and upper left edge near the corner. Several extremely faint, tiny droplet stains are visible in the right and lower margins. These do not intrude upon the print. In raking light, the slightest silvering is visible at the periphery.
