Condition
'Photographs of Flowers' is an edition of 70 numbered copies, 20 copies in Roman numerals, and 10 artist's proofs. The plates from are as follows:
Paris, France, 1972 - There is darkening on the mount around the image that is not apparent when viewing the photograph in its mat.
Mariposa, CA, 1972
Putney, VT, 1972
Taos, NM, 1972 - Visible in raking light are 3 linear scratches in the top left corner of the image that do not break the emulsion.
Paris, France, 1972 - Visible upon close examination is a pin-point impression in the upper left quadrant of the image that does not break the emulsion.
Saratoga Springs, NY, 1973 - There is darkening on the mount around the image that is not apparent when viewing the photograph in its mat. There is one linear inch of water damage along the bottom left edge of the mount and scattered soiling on the reverse.
Putney, Vermont, 1972 - There is darkening on the mount around the image that is not apparent when viewing the photograph in its mat.
Evergreen Tree, Northern France, 1972 - The mat is slightly warped.
These plates are accompanied by 2 additional 'Flora Photographs', one signed, dated, and annotated 'To Burt - Happy Birthday' by the photographer in ink, and one signed, titled, and dated by the photographer in pencil on the reverse.
