Albumen print, mounted on card. Signed and inscribed 'From life' in ink on the mount, with the sitter's name 'H J S Cotton' and annotation 'Married to Mary Ryan' also inscribed in pencil on the mount. Framed.

Condition

Not examined out of frame. Some spotting on the mount and on the image itself. Good, strong tones, with a suggestion of yellowing/fading in the highlights at the top of the image.
