Painted circa 1770 for Dyffryn Aled, Llansannan, Denbighshire; removed with the demolition of the house in the 1930's;

Anonymous sale, London, Sotheby's, 19 February 1986 lot 3111, for £7,920, where acquired by the present owner.

Condition

All four paintings are relined. Overall the canvases are in fair condition. The frames have a few chips.
