Catalogue Note

Fromentin est l'un des grands artistes orientalistes français. Très jeune, il découvrit l'Afrique du Nord, et a peint plusieurs scènes de fauconnerie dont la fameuse Chasse au faucon en Algérie : la curée, conservée au musée d'Orsay.
