The painting is slightly more yellow than image shows Three scratches in the sky (two visible on the image) the very thick varnish doesn't allow to see if there are repaints but some seem to appear in the sea and the sky A more detailed condition report may be asked to our restorer upon request

Les liens entre Venise et la Méditerranée orientale se nouent vraiment au IXe siècle. Le commerce fut décisif dans ce rattachement et Venise devint un lieu essentiel d'échange entre l'Orient et l'Occident. La cité lacustre a joué un rôle important dans l'expansion de la culture orientale vers l'occident. Très rapidement une inspiration orientale apparaît dans les objets fabriqués à Venise.
