Description

  • pair of angels
  • gilt and silvered wood

Condition

Overall the condition of the wood is good. There is some minor wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are some losses to the painted surface. The figures were carved in sections: the wings are inserted and joints are slightly visible at the limbs. The angel raising its proper left hand has a naturally occurring split running from its forehead to proper left knee. There are small drilled holes for mounting to the reverse of both figures.
