- parquetry games board with mill, chess, backgammon, merry seven and another game
walnut, birch, plum, box, tulip and lignum vitae wood on a pine and oak carcass
Condition
Overall the condition of the wood is good. There is some minor wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age and handling. There is some minor splitting to some of the sections and some slight opening of joints between some of the sections consistent with material, particularly at the centres of the games on top. Sections were inserted to the edge at the top right back corner and the lower left back corner and a few small sections were reattached.
