Overall the condition of the bust is good. There is dirt and some wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some greening and dryness to the patina, particularly in the crevices. Some stains are visible on the chest and neck. There is an area of particular wear to the lower edge of the socle on the proper right side of the bust. The small hole to the back of the socle is due to a casting flaw.
