Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good. There is some wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. The cut parts of the base suggest the figure was cut from a larger whole. There is a hole due to a casting flaw to the right side of the back of the base. There is an area of dents to the back of Cupid. The wall of the shell is slightly dented and was plugged, there is a minor stable fissure on its edge near the proper left hand.
