  • octagonal bowl
  • agate, with a 15th-century gilt-bronze mount

Condition

Overall the condition of the bowl is good. There is wear and minor dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are several inclusions to the surface consistent with material, including a larger inclusion to on of the sides. There are stable and restored cracks throughout; around these there are a few minor losses. The mount is rubbed and slightly bent. There are a few minor areas of greening to the brass.
