Condition

Overall the condition of the stone is very good. There is some minor wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There are some minor chips to the edges of the drapery and based. A large section at the back of the base has been reattached, a small break at the corner under the proper right foot was also repaired. The stone has been largely cleared of its possibly later polychromy; traces of red pigment and gilding remain, particularly in the crevices. There is a large drilled hole to the underside for mounting; three smaller mounting holes at the back were filled with plaster.
