  • Virgin and Child
  • white marble, on a black marble base

Condition

Overall the condition of the marble is good. There is some wear and minor dirt to the surface consistent with age. The head of the child has been reattached. There is a drilled hole behind Christ's proper right hand and one to the Virgin's drapery near his proper left leg. There are chips to the Child's proper left sleeve, the Virgin's proper left foot, the drapery at her proper right side and her crown. There is some red pigment to the top of her head.
