Painting on original canvas. From a first hand inspection a scratch (cm 3 circa) is visible over the sky top right-hand side near the edge and pigment detachments along the edges, over the sky, over the shadow on the left hand side of the river bank, one over the mill run and the last one over the horizon's line on the left-hand side. The ultra violet light reveals fluorescent varnish dishomogeneously spread over the surface and retouches over several areas of the sky, probably done by the artist. The painting needs a careful cleansing to remove dust and the yellowish varnish; it also needs consolidation.
