Condition
The painting is darker than the catalogue illustration suggests. The relined canvas is offered unframed. The paint surface is abraded and thin, with the red ground visible in several passages, and is secured by a thick varnish. Minor scattered paint losses are present, most noticeably upper centre. Inspection under UV light reeals scattered retouchings throughout.
