- A Marble Head of Silvanus
- Height 4 in. 10.2 cm.
with full beard and crescentic moustache, his hair swept up above the forehead and surmounted by a wreath of sheaves of wheat.

English private collection, late 19th Century
Condition
Good and as shown, note chips on nose and top of wreath, surface somewhat weathered, minor abrasions.

Catalogue Note
The present head was until recently mounted on an alien but ancient nude marble bust with turned socle and palmette in relief on the plinth.
