  • A Marble Candelabrum Shaft and Corinthian Capital
  • Heights 15 1/2 and 5 3/8 in. 39.4 and 13.8 cm.
comprising a candelabrum shaft carved in relief with a spiraling ivy branch, and a Corinthian capital with double corner volutes and egg-and-dart beneath the abacus.

Condition

Capital: one corner missing, front of each remaining corner volute broken off, one corner above volute restored in marble, surface somewhat worn. Shaft: large chip off base, small chips, scratches, and areas of modern dirt overall.
