Condition

Good and as described, fragmentary as shown, part of top of head in back missing, back of head schematically carved, stress cracks across face, surface very dirty.

Catalogue Note

The fine workmanship, along with the articulated irises and pupils, suggest that the present head could be based on a Greek bronze sculpture of the 4th Century B.C.
