Condition
The panel has been cradled and is completely flat.
There are some fairly extensive scattered looses to the paint surface, notably on the yellow drapery of the sleeping apostles, the the area of shadowed background to the right of Christ, and to Christ's red and yellow clothing. There is what appears to be some heat damage to an area in the lower left. There is a thin vertical wedge of restoration running down the left margin. There are some further, more minor, restorations through the background. The paint surface does require attention to stabilise certain areas and to restore those areas suffering from flaking or loss.
