Condition
The colours in the catalogue are representative of those in the painting.
The canvas has been relined and it is mounted in a simple gilt modern XVIII Century-style frame.
To the naked eye the stretcher marks are visible along the margins, as well as an old tear repaired (2.5 cm) on the background.
The painting is covered by an old dirty varnish and it would benefit from a cleaning.
The thick varnish layer impedes clear inspection under ultra-violet light.
