Etchings, circa 1748-1760, five plates from the Vedute di Roma, fine impressions, H. 5, 6, and 58 fourth state (of seven), H. 43 and 51 first state (of six and seven respectively), all contemporary Roman editions on paper with a Fleur-de-Lys in Double Circle watermark apart from H. 43 with Fleur-de-Lys in Single Circle watermark and H. 51, with margins apart from H. 43 trimmed on platemark, usual central vertical fold, occasional handling creases, pale paper discoloration, a few fox marks, otherwise in generally good condition apart from H. 43 with water-staining, surface dirt, and other minor defects

Condition

H. 5: horizontal crease along upper edge of sheet not affecting image, minor fox marks, very slight surface dirt in margins, sheet 520 by 720mm; 20 1/2 by 28 1/4in H. 6: very few pale fox marks along lower plate-mark and in left margin, sheet 515 by 720mm; 20 1/4 by 28 1/4in H. 43: paper discoloration, water staining to right half of sheet, diagonal fold across lower left corner of sheet mainly visible verso, two small tears at right and left edges center extending one centimetre into image, surface dirt, other minor defects, sheet 420 by 505mm; 16 1/2 x 23 3/4in H. 51: surface dirt in margins, four small tears in upper and lower margins no longer than two centimetres in length none of which affect image, lower margin with number inscribed in brown ink, sheet 745 by 525mm; 29 1/4 x 20 1/2in H. 58: surface dirt in upper and left margins, very few pale fox marks mainly in left and lower margins, sheet 510 by 720mm; 20 1/8 by 28 1/4in
