- Sheet: 550 by 656mm; 21 5/8 by 25 7/8 in
Aquatint printed in colours, circa 1965, signed in pencil, numbered 86/200 (the original numbering amended by the same hand), on wove paper laid down to card, with wide margins, a few tiny fox marks in the image, damp-staining to the left margins (extending slightly into the image), the margins with surface soiling (strongest at lower left), light-staining
Condition
The colours are strong but the sheet has been laid down to card throughout. Fox marks are tiny but dark, number circa 6 and are visible in the image. Spots of damp-staining have discolored the margin at left, with a few extending just into the image. The margins have surface soiling and general discoloration, most visible in the lower margin at left. Exposure to light has darkend the paper tone particularly in the margins although the colour is quite strong. The publisher clearly numbered the print 85/200 originally and then re-numbered it 86/200.
